FeedBurner/Flickr Partnership & Press Roundup

Flickr and FeedBurner announced a partnership yesterday, which we're very excited about. We're co-developing a standard for syndicating photos with them, and also offering the first (of many) integrated features, splicing.

What does this mean in the language of the people? Using this technology people could conceivably make dynamic screensavers or wallpaper for their computers that consists of only their friends' and family's photos and personal notes, like a virtual picture frame or refrigerator door that is constantly updated. We received two great press mentions too! One in Metro Toronto and another in the well-respected MIT Technology Review, who have caught onto the fact that photos and social computing go together like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Bravo, us!
