The Most Promising New Company of the Year category description reads:
They have a vision, a two-year game-plan, a team of enthusiastic stars and a regulation-sized pool table. Now all they have to do is rise above the fray and make their mark. They are the Most Promising New Company of the Year, the "up and coming" company of 2002. Entrants must be based in Canada and have been in business less than two years. Companies must also have shown significant growth in one or more of the following areas: finances, product or service development, marketing, etc.
(Note: We do not actually have a pool table of any kind at Ludicorp. However, if we win, we will go play a game of pool somewhere. Most of us are bad at it though.)
